Yeah, I usually work form photos as they are just 15 minute sketches to warm up into the day. Good thing with the photo is that i can overlay the photo over my sketch afterwards and see just how far out my sketch is :)
I'd prefer live models as that pushes your perception just that much more but i don't know how practical that would be to get them into the office at the start of each work day :)

Have you thought to do a series on sketches for other artists to use as references? You have a good eye for proportion and figure movement.

I am aware these are from pictures, but very few people can draw from images as well as you can and I know with how clear you have made the lines thaht many artists would appreciate being able to do even half of what you have done. Plus you have to admit you could do new poses and styles each time that would widen ranges for a lot of people.

Lol sorry for rambling, but so few artists do what you do with figure drawings, they tend to do bare basics and that's it.

Please consider.

When the wind blows and I hear your name on it perhaps I shall turn my head so I don't anymore. *

telekinatis - wow, not really something i have considered. To be honest i'm still working through a few anatomical and dynamic issues in my own sketches and certainly wouldn't think myself overly qualified to give advice to others.
One thing i do try to do with my sketches (and i guess its one advantage of working from photo stills) is that i tend to chose as dynamic a pose as i can find. I especially like dancer poses as they have a really nice dynamic to them. I guess i'm trying to train myself to knock over some anatomy and pose dynamic at the same time.
